I was at the blackout game and I watched the cu bs games as well. I agree 100 percent. Also I remember talking to chris widger in 05 and he told me that if it wasn't for the fans they would not have been as good as they were. And let's not forget a little less then 40 years ago this was a sox town from the begining. Really up until they signed on with wgn it was a sox town. For the 40 percent of cubs fans who were actually born here in illinois I give you credit for all your heart ache. For the other 60 percent who only go to cubs games to be seen in the hip part of town. If your going to be all high and mighty about the cubbies, then at least do what it takes to be a fan and help energize your team. Any winning ball club will always give it up to the 26th man on the roster. THE FANS.

As a Die-Hard RED SOX FAN for 22years,
and a guy who actually HATES the white sox,I just wanot to say CUBS fans are far,far SUPERIOR to you bandwagon jumping white sox fans. Many
of you root for the white sox or the
white sux now because of '05 but it's
no question who is still the better
franchise,who deserves it more, and
who has the best and most knowledgable
fans of the two, that of course being
the CUB FANS!!!.

No, I've always known it. Hell, I hated the Cubs before I even really because a White Sox fan. Yesterday was just more shocking than anything. How can you not be more excited for a PLAYOFF game!?! You're going to be "apprehensive" as they described it? Give me a break. For a franchise as sorry as the Cubs, you'd think there fans would be savoring every minute of playoff baseball and going nuts - seeing as how they are so few and far between. White Sox fans understand this. Luckily, we have a great GM and manager so playoff baseball should and will be a more common occurrence.

Maybe all the Cubs fans took to drinking early because of the post-7th inning ban. Perhaps they were all passed out in their seats since drinking and being part of the "Wrigley scene" is their primary objective anyway. Not sure what else explains such a pathetic display of fan apathy.

I've been saying this for years and Wednesday and Thursday makes you a believer. I do believe the fans and the park helped click Jenks' fastball a few more MPH in the 9th. While I think you were watching a bunch of sCrub fans in Wrigleyville watching Dempster walk 7 and the nervousness fell from the stands and onto the field.
