Hi Dicknutz...

All of your questions are like picking two equals. You can flip a coin week in and week out on this group and they would flip flop on who was the top performer for that week. These selections are based on several factors...

I like Orton over Ryan
         Welker over Royal
and Winslow over Fasano..... Winslow has to show up for his own value before this season ends!

Good luck this week.

Hi Amber,

Thats awesome that you exploded last week, and I am glad I could help. Onto your newest issue.

Moore from Pittsburgh is going to take a big fantasy hit with the return of Willie Parker. I do think that he will still see action with as productive as he was, but not nearly the extent at which you saw the last few weeks.

Leon Washington, he is either a home run or a strike out each week. There is no consistency with him, and can carry you to victory or kill you, depending on how he is used by his team that week.

Fred Taylor, see Leon Washington.

Ben Jarvus-Green had a good week last week with his touchdown, Faulk had a better week. Facing Indi should be much more of a challenge for both of these two.

I still cannot understand how Dallas is struggling to be productive on Offense. TO's numbers are baffling to me, and being a divisional game, the Bills, Jets game should be a struggle for both teams. Parrish does have an upside, I struggle with the TO decision still, thank god he is not on my roster!

When you narrow down your decision, let me know.

I do have another dilemma....as I have a real suspect RB and now thanks to T.O., WR pics.

RB's:
Mewelde Moore-I think Willie's back :-( looks bad for my boy.
Leon Washington-Sexy last week, but Buffalo defense is a sleeper this week.
Fred Taylor-Iffy all the way around...
BenJarvus Green-Ellis or Foulk??

WR's:
T.O.-(Bench time??) With Whitten potentially out....it looks real bad
Roscoe Parrish-with Reed hurt, he's expected to start
Steve Breaston-Boldin is officially back...

Hey, i'm in a must win situation. Who would you dress:

Orton or Ryan
Welker or Royal
and
Winslow or Fasano?

The guy i'm playing has been hot lately and his matchups could mean bit points. Thanks.

Hey Joe,

As far as Jackson vs. Johnson, I like Jackson in this for several reasons, a few of which you already stated. If you wide reciever can get the ball thrown to him is a big issue, and I will take McNabb over Orlovsky any day. There are also more playmakers around Jackson then Johnson. You cannot double team the entire Eagles offense, but you can take Calvin Johnson out of a game.

As far as Donnie Avery is concerned, my first question is, what did Torry Holt ever do to Marc Bulger. Holt never gets the looks he should from Bulger, but with Warner and Fitzpatrick, Holt was a fantasy god. Avery has appeared to take Issac Bruce's place as Bulger's go to target. Arizona is a scary team, on paper their pass defense isn't the greatest, but this Arizona team appears to have something special this year. I look for Warner to play out of his mind this week against his old team. I do like Avery over Johnson this week, but he and Jackson are a toss up, although I do like the Eagles matchup this week.

As far as sleepers are concerned this week, I still love Tim Hightower, especially after the rumors flying out of Arizona that they will give Hightower more carries to see if Edggerin James is expendable after this year. I do look for the production of Moore and D. Rhodes to drop off tremendously after their starters coming back. If Sammy Morris does not go, I like Ben Jarvis-Green and Kevin Faulk to have decent games, and Justin Fargas if in need might be a good play with D. McFadden on the shelf again. If Reggie Wayne does not go, I expect A. Gonzalez to get more looks as well.

Thanks for the positive feedback, it is greatly appreciated.

Kurt, I've got DeSean Jackson and Calvin Johnson, who should I go with? I know it sounds like a silly question, but Jackson seems to blow up for a big game more than Johnson and Jackson's got DNabb throwing him the ball instead of Orlovsky. Johnson's up against Chicago's D, which has been bad against the pass this year, and Jackson's up against Seattle, who is equally bad against the pass. I'm torn...

The fantasy sleeper of the week in my mind (and the guy I might use instead of both Jackson and Johnson) is St. Louis WR Donnie Avery. He has produced fantastically in the last few weeks, and last week had 160 plus yards. Going against Arizona's porous pass D this week should be a good matchup in Avery's favor. Do you see this the same way?

I've been trying to throw in an unproven guy who's been producing into my lineup every week, as this year has been so unpredictable in fantasy terms. I had pretty good luck last week, but It's mostly hit or miss. For example, last week I cut Ted Ginn after a season of disappointment, only for him to go for a career game. Go figure! But I've also had quite a bit of good luck with guys like Mewelde Moore, Correll Buckhalter and Tim Hightower after week 3 or 4. There are a lot of capable backs in the league who have had chances to shine when injuries have struck their teams' starters.

You didn't post any sleepers this week to answer questions, but we need to know... Who are your sleepers this week?

Love the post, keep up the good work!!

Allen,

Both should have good games. I look for Warner to have a better game against the poor St. Louis pass defense. In addition, I am sure Warner wouldn't mind breaking one off into his old team.

I don't know what your other options other than Hightower, but he has tremendous upside. He is a touchdown vulture, and rumor has it that is workload is going to increase to determine if Edgerrin James is expendable at the end of this season.

Thanks for the line and your location. Do you miss Manny yet?

Your articles are great every week. One quick issue, Warner or Manning this week, and what do you think about Tim Hightower this week?

Thanks.

JRod,

From a fantasy stand point, that is a very easy answer, a healthy Kellen Winslow. As a Browns fan, and wanting a winning product on the field, the offense looks more like last years model that I wish I saw more of when Steve Heiden is on the field. Look at the quality wins the Browns had without K2 in the lineup.... The undefeated Giants and the Jags in their house. I follow numbers and those are numbers I like to see!

I agree with your thoughts on not sitting your stud. I will say this about L.T. though, when you draft your squad, you have to have a strong team around him, since the past two years, he does not produce like himself until the second half of the season.

Chad Pennington has really been a pleasant surprise for the Dolphins. I will be interested to see if Ted Ginn can keep it up. He obviously has talent and speed, but is he a good enough route runner to be a consistent fantasy threat? I don't know. Having a solid QB who is accurate definitely helps Ginn's long-term potential though.

As far as your question regarding Clinton Portis, I have on rule of thumb when it comes to RBs: NEVER sit your studs. I don't care if Clinton Portis were facing the '01 Ravens or '85 Bears. He has been the most consistent back in the NFL this year, and you just can't sit him. I guess if you also had Brian Westbrook, LT, and Marion Barber on your team then you might think about it -- but who has options like that? Chances are, Portis is your fantasy MVP this year. Even if he only goes for 50 yards but gets a TD, that's still decent production. The ceiling and consistency are too high. You can't sit Portis.

I have a question for you though: Who would you rather have for the rest of the season -- Kellen Winslow or Steve Heiden?
