Enjoy your Saturday watching college football. As a little public service, here is the TV schedule for today’s nationally televised college football games on ESPN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and the Big Ten Network:

ABC:

2:30 Kansas Jayhawks at Oklahoma Sooners (Can Mark Mangino add his likeness to the Portrait of Losers?)

7:00 Missouri at Texas (Colt McCoy and Chase Daniel are the perfect quarterbacks, the perfect human beings, and the closest thing to Jesus Christ himself since Danny Weurrfel was soft-tossing at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. I mean seriously, can we cut all the hyperbole with these two? They are good quarterbacks and good guys — and remember, I live in Dallas, where these guys are from and are treated like deities — but can we wait for either one of them to win something significant before we enshrine them in the Hall of Fame?)

CBS:

2:30 Mississippi at Alabama (I’d love to see Mississippi’s coach bust a Nutt (a Houston Nutt) all over Nick Saban’s two-face.

ESPN:

11:00 Georgia Tech at Clemson (let’s win one for Tommy Bowden!)

3:30 Michigan at Penn State (read the Midwest Sports Fans preview and see a funny picture of Joe Paterno.)

7:30 LSU at South Carolina

ESPN2:

11:00 Purdue at Northwestern (Curtis Painter for Heisman!)

2:30 Ohio State at Michigan State (read the Midwest Sports Fans preview here…and sorry if you checked earlier and we had this game listed on ABC. Damn Verizon. Not much of a game right now though. 21-0 OSU with 2:44 left in the first quarter.)

7:30 Virginia Tech at Boston College

ESPNU:

11:00 Connecticut at Rutgers

2:30 Miami (FL) at Duke

6:30 Arkansas at Kentucky (Nolan Richardson versus Rick Pitino! 40 Minutes of Hell versus 40 years of cheating and scandal! College basketball at it’s best! Wait…this is football? Oh. Goat balls.)

9:30 Florida A&M at Southern

Big Ten Network:

11:00 Wisconsin at Iowa (Kirk Ferentz is definitely the next to be added to the Portrait of Losers. Remember when he was going to jump to the NFL and got his big contract extension? Umm, what has Iowa done since — other than miss Hayden Fry?)

7:00 Indiana at Illinois (Remember when Kellen Lewis was compared favorably to Juice Williams? That was a long time ago…)
