(For the latest on Kellen Winslow’s current spat with Browns’ management, visit the Cleveland Browns news page or read the post specifically regarding Kellen Winslow being upset, and Romeo Crennel’s reaction.)

Big game today for the Cleveland Browns (2-3) against the Washington Redskins (4-2). Here is the Midwest Sports Fans preview from earlier this week. (Plus more on the Kellen Winslow’s injury status below.)

cleveland brownsLet’s run down a few of the particulars in a way that would make my high school journalism teacher happy:

Who: Cleveland Browns – Washington Redskins

What: A mother-f’ing football game, that’s what.

When: 4:15

Where: @ Washington

Why: The Browns look to build on the momentum from Monday night while the Redskins look to stay afloat in the rough-and-tumble NFC Eat.

Kellen Winslow Update

Now let’s get to the good stuff and answer the question that everyone wants to know: Will Kellen Winslow play today? I have been scouring the Internet (and you can too at our Cleveland Browns news page) and I have yet to find an official report that guarantees the availability of Kellen Winslow for this afternoon’s game. However, everything I am hearing is that he will play. According to the fantasy analysis for Kellen Winslow at CBSSportsline.com, Winslow ran with the first team at Friday’s practice and looked fine.

While there are no guarantees, I have Kellen Winslow in a few fantasy leagues and I am starting him. He may not play as many snaps as usual, with Super Steve Heiden showing last week that he can admirably fill in, but even Kellen Winslow only playing 50% of the snaps is better than 75% of the tight ends in the NFL.

As for other injury news regarding the Browns, only DT Shaun Smith is listed as “out” on the team’s most recent injury report. The Browns are finally starting to get healthier and it could not come at a better time.

Here are a few more good stories I ran across this morning:

Lewis’ pursuit to be the best energizes Browns, pleases Jim Brown – Plain-Dealer

Joshua Cribbs wans to make the Redskins pay for not drafting him – Plain-Dealer

Romeo Crennel earns Coach of the Week honors – Cleveland.com

What is your prediction for today’s game? Leave it in the comments section below.

I offered up mine earlier this week: Cleveland 24 | Washington 17. Nothing has happened since I wrote it to make me change my mind. To the contrary, Kellen Winslow looks like he will play and Clinton Portis looks more banged up than we thought. The stage is set for another big Browns victory today.
