Cam is as good as his talent is as an OC. I don't think he re-invented the game or anything, though he is tricky at times. Miami's offense is more impressive than Baltimore's at this point.

@Steven Polansky,

I may not like him personally, but I have never disputed Cam Cameron's aptitude and success as an offensive coordinator. He has made a huge difference for the Ravens this season, there is no doubt about that.

Cam Cameron is a darn good offensive coordinator. When he was the QB coach in Washington, Gus Frerotte went to the Pro Bowl. He did a great job with both Philip Rivers and Drew Brees, and the development of Joe Flacco has really been impressive. He is going to have a lot of bumps over the next year or two but Cameron is doing a great job handling him and he looks to be a keeper.

It is nearly 5:15 pm., about an hour after the game, and hear are my random thoughts. After I've calmed down a bit, I will write a more coherant piece.

Well, Browns midwestsportsfans writers and fans: WTF was that?

Yes, I also picked the Browns to win, today. And more than one writer flipped a coin.

Possible headlines for this miserable, heartbreaking 37-27 loss to Baltimore: Browns give game away to Ravens ... Braylon Edwards gets dropsy at a key moment in the game ... Kellen is back, but it doesn't seem to matter,

Or maybe the Browns were a bit too predictable. Yah, think? Jamal Lewis is called on to run at both the first and second downs, again, forcing the Browns to come up big at third down and long. This, coaches, is not what is meant by "establishing the running game before passing."

Where was the creative call playing from Ron Chudzinski. (Anybody remember, Metcalf up the middle.)

Even at the end of the third quarter, the Browns seemed on its way to winning the game.

In the first quarter, for the first time in a long time the Browns showed calmness being 10 points down early and at the half the game was tied 13-13.

In the third quarter, when the Browns went up with two touchdown passes, 27-13, the team did not play to finish the game. Kellen Winslow told a Cleveland's WKNR radio earlier this week that the Ravens play like a shark. "When they smell blood, they go in for the kill."

The Ravens today smelled plenty of blood, sweat and tears, and when Anderson appeared skittish, unsure of himself, the Ravens swarmed with open mouths, sunk their teeth in and did not let go.

Only good play, Joshua Cribbs'92-yard touchback to make the game 10-7. Unfortunately, Josh couldn't breat two more...

The Browns are not only inconsistent from game to game, but quarter to quarter. Derek Anderson does not like pressure and you can no longer trust that Braylon will catch the ball. When these two major playmakers are hot and cold, it just ain't gonna happen.

A season in peril, a waterloo, according to WKNR after the game. I don't completely agree. More, later.
