He needs to be able to evolve into a primary ball-handler, where I see him being a real liability right now if someone pressures the ball heavily when he has it. And sometimes he goes too fast and does not make the right pass/right shot decision, or tries to make too difficult of a pass. One thing about Gordon that is underrated is his on-ball D. He did not play much later in the season, but early on he showed real flashes of being a lockdown defender. Out from under the horrid leadership of Kelvin Sampson, Gordon should be a little more motivated to bring his D on a more nightly basis. We he does, he can truly be a force on both end. Easily my favorite sportswriter.....especially when it comes to the NBA. His archaic knowledge of NBA history and sense of humor tinged with 80's pop culture musings are just great. His column is one of the reasons that I am happy that the NBA season has started once again. He is completely right about Eric Gordon...but I almost always agree with him. That jump shot is just a work of art. It's got well coached Indiana kid written all over it. I really think Eric Gordon is being underestimated by some people and will be a star in the NBA.
