When they regard themselves as the best football conference in the country they are talking about the current day and age where the SEC does rule in football. You can't argue with the 5-game National Championship streak with four different schools or the undefeated 7-0 record in BCS National Championship games. That is what makes them the best…You wouldn't consider Michigan to be the best football program would you? No because they have not been good for years and just because they boast the most wins throughout all of college football doesn't make them the best.

you know i only see 2 schools from SEC country in that top 10. HOW CAN YOU BE THE BEST CONFERENCE EVER WITH ONLY 2 SCHOOLS COMPARED TO THE BIG 10'S 5 SCHOOLS????? Are you freaking kidding me?? Here's the thing; people down in that part of the country are widely known to be, well, for a lack of a better word, idiots. So of course a bunch of idiots are going to think they are the best at everything. But for everyone else in this country, the rest of us intelligent people, we understand that the best region in this country for football is the one where football was created, the Midwest. There is NO comparison. The idiots of this country need to get a clue. Keep paying your college athletes and stay down SEC.

In the last 3 years Texas has passed Nebraska and Notre Dame in All-Time wins. We just keep reeling them in. Michigan, you're next! Might take 5-7 years, but you know it's coming — especially with Meeshigan's recent track record. This year alone we will probably make a 8 game dent in their 40 game lead.
