Even if Texas drops one of those games, he will still win it. His stats are incredible. Took him 3 years to develop (probably because he didn't lift weights in high school) but he is pretty amazing with his arm and legs this year. Maybe Mack Brown is not a loser without Vince Young. It's funny to see people here get behind the Indiana football team. A few years ago that place had weeds growing in section 12, now people are acting like they've been behind them for years. Kellen Lewis is a decent quarterback, but I was only joking about his Heisman candidacy. He lost a huge weapon in James Hardy to the draft, and he has not had the same kind of year without him. My favorite for the Heisman has got to be Colt McCoy. He has thrown for 1500 yards, 17 TDs with only 3 INTs, and completed an amazing 79.4% of his passes. He also leads the team in rushing with 348 yards and 4 scores. They have a strong schedule as well, including a stretch starting with last week's game against Oklahoma where they play 5 of 6 games against opponents ranked in the top 25 (4 of them in the top 11). I will say this though: Tiller's offense has produced two pretty decent quarterbacks in the past decade. Drew Brees is one of the best in the biz and Kyle Orton is having a pretty good year as well. Could Painter be a product of a system?? Oh no, I said it. I have always hated it when average quarterbacks have been given Heisman consideration only to be shot down because they are "products of systems". But in previous years, Colt Brennan, Chase Daniels, and Kliff King-"Dingle"-bury have actually had decent numbers to stand behind. Painter doesn't even have that! And if you check ESPN.com, Painter's QB rating puts him at 91st in the nation. That's 36 spots behind my favorite for Heisman, Kellen Lewis. Oh yeah!
