Great Blog Gerlach, $50 extra large that's more than most Arican countries' GNP. Think of what you could do with that kind of MooLah. Remember when he was getting ripped because his Mom gave him a Hummer(the SUV)as a gift. If he gets that and a few more bad quarters,General Motors will be in his price range! Well written blog, make sure you get the facts right I'll be watching! Do you get extra credit for this? I can write another comment!!

I agree that IF LeBron goes it would be for one year. It's kind of like what Michael Jordan did except he was making $12,000 grand a year and hanging out in Birmingham and seemingly gained basically nothing from it. I don't think I could argue with anyone taking $50 million tax free to live in the one of the most beautiful countries in the world to play basketball. That is unless you think New Jersey is more beautiful than Greece.

Great first post Gerlach. This is going to be interesting. Something tell me that this is more LeBron and Kobe posturing to get Stern to alter the salary cap rules...perhaps bringing back the "Bird Exemption"...so that star players can make unlimited $$$ amounts. But if Stern calls their bluff, it will be interesting to see if they go. Losing LeBron or Kobe or one of the other superstars would be a huge blow to the NBA...though I suspect it would only be for one season. But seriously...$50 million??? Depending on how the move affected endorsements, it would be hard to begrudge a guy turning that down.
